"I'm

a soldier

in the army

of the lord"

It takes courage, strength, self-discipline, pride,  and willingness to put your life on the line and die for what you believe in.

The military is the group or groups of people that are given the power to defend something (mostly a country). They are armed, so they are called the armed forces. The military protects its country by defending it from the armed forces of enemies if there is a war. The military can also be ordered by the government of the country to attack another country. The word "military" comes from Latin miles, warrior.

While it takes a real man or woman to join the military and stick with it to the end,  it takes an even stronger person to be a part of the, "ARMY OF THE LORD."  You need what the military has, plus, you need self-control when the enemy of everyday life comes against you.

Once a person becomes a part of the family of God, it's like making an about-face in life.  The things a person once did that was wrong has ceased and a new person comes on the scene.  Their friends begin to fall away and new friends come on the scene.  If you cursed, smoked, drank, cheated on a test and helped your friends do the same, they will drop you like a hot potato.  You are no longer accepted in their group.

As a member of The Army Of The Lord, you will learn how to over-come these bad spirits and win them over and help them to become a member of The Army Of The Lord.

Don't give it another thought.  You have made the right choice.  Some of your old friends that see what you became will want what you got and join you.

Never forget, you can have many friends, but there is none like Jesus.  Proverbs 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.  (His name is Jesus}

You will learn more about Him in the Army of The Lord!

Here is a song that will explain the kind of friend Jesus is.  John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
