Hello, our mom's didn't want us, so the doctors, they wanted to kill us before we had a chance to see what life was like. So we are back home with Jesus now and singing in the heavenly choir. He is such a wonderful, kind and loving Father. He cares so much about us.

From the time a baby is conceived in its mother's womb a seed is planted, {a cause in life}, by the Lord. Psalm 139:13 For Thou hast possessed my reins. Thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. Interpation: {You formed the way I think and feel. You put me together in my mother’s womb.}

Road with no place to go unless I walked, rode my bike or hitch-hiked, which I did sometimes. You would think living up a holler like that a boy couldn't get into trouble. To keep us on a strait and narrow path, mom started us going to Sunday School just down the road from us. My brother plaid the accordion. She put it in a little red wagon and we walked down the road to church pulling the wagon behind us.
I am so glad she did. A preacher we meet at the church name Vernon played a big part in my future from the day we meet. Now let me say that the Lord provided us with a wonderful mom and dad. No one could have better. We were what you call poor rich people. If you get my meaning. We were poor people, but we were rich in love. My problem was, I thought I knew more than they did. Vernon took us kids on outings, camping, made things with us and talk to us about the Lord. We had some of the best times at the church. They would pick corn, green beans, potatoes, tomatoes, green onions and such from their garden, people would bring food from home and we would have all day meetings with preaching and singing.
Though I was going to church, having fun and hanging out with churchgoers and the preacher, I was still a roughneck. On the fourth of July one year, I crowed under the church and set off firecrackers while the church was going on. One time I got into the communion wine and drank it. One evening I started out to church and when I got there I meet a relative of the church family who was a truck driver. He had brought his family to church and while they were all in the church he and I took off to Pat's Caffee. We drank a few and headed back before church let out. I was afraid to go home so I went up the road to my aunt's house to spend the night.
There was a battle going on inside me. All the things mom and dad taught me, along with the preacher and the things of the world was trying to win me over. The Lord wanted me and so did Satan. The Lord was always on my mind, even when I was out doing things I shouldn't be doing. We are a free agent, the Lord loves us and wants us to be saved, but He doesn't come along and smack us up beside the head when we do wrong, we can choose what we want to do. We can do the right things or we can do the wrong things. In Joshua 24:15 it says, And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
All a parent or guardian can do is bring up a child in the way they should go and when they are old enough to go out on their own, we can keep praying and hope they remember what they were taught at home and they will make the right choices.
There is a nice tree in our front yard. Part of it is growing nice and straight, the other half is bending over away from the strait tree. My son and I tied a rope to it, hooked it to the bumper of his truck and pulled it up to stand up next to the one that was growing nice and strait. My son placed a strap to them to hold the one having a hard time straight up with the mother tree. Then we did away with the rope we used to pull it up with. We are hoping and praying that the correction we made will keep it straight until it is strong enough to stand on its own. How did we know to do this? We read it in a book. Plants come with instructions on how to care for them so they will grow to there potential and become a beautiful plant that it was meant to be.

a seed is planted

I don't know about these people Jesus. Do you think they will take good care of me?
Jesus put me in your hands to care for me. Will you love me, take care of me and bring me up in the way I should go?
Hello, Jesus sent me to bring a little joy in your life. I'm not junk, cause Jesus don't make junk. I hope you don't either!
Even long before we are born the Lord has a purpose in our lives. {Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shaped in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.} When a child is born it is up to the parents to nurture, water, cultivate and make sure the seed grows straight, strong and full of good fruit. {Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.}
Have you ever heard the expression; the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree? The Lord tells us to {Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.} From the time a child is born he/she watches every move it's parents make. They listen to every word, feels the tension and can feel the anger in the bickering going on around them.
The Lord did the same with us. He left a book with instructions for parents to read that will teach us how to nurture and nourish our children so they will grow up to be nice and straight and grow to their potential. Whether they bring forth good fruit or bad depends on a great deal on their parents. Like the tree in our front yard, our children are tied to us and when they are old enough to untie all we can do is let them go and pray that we gave them the right nourishment and instructions to keep them straight throughout their lives.

Our children aren't always by our side. They have to go to school, we let them out to play, sometimes we allow them to stay overnight with their friends and go places. We have to teach them about how to pick friends and sometimes we have to tell them this friend has to go. They may not like it, but sometimes we have no choice. I remember mom telling me one time that I couldn't have this once certain guy as a friend and to stay away from him. I said, mom, don't pick my friends for me, I know what I'm doing. Mom was right, my friend ended up going to jail. If I had been with him, I would have gone right along with him. Even if I didn't do anything.
We had a pretty smart mom. We lived at the head of the hollow on Carey's Run
