YOUR CAUSE IN LIFE?

FINAL ORDERS

During my military service, I often awaited my next orders.  As a soldier, I was aware that orders from a higher headquarters could come at any time.

The Bible teaches that life is no different!  As a matter of face, it states that your final orders are coming from heaven.  Eventually, God will stop your breathing and you will pass from this life and go to your final station.  "And as it is appointed unto me once to die, but after this the judgment." (Hebrews 9:27)
If you could choose your next assignment where would it be?  Unfortunately  that's not how it works in the military, you go where they send you, no questions asked.  Because of Jesus saving grace we have a choice where we want to go for our Final Station.  You have two stations to choose from.

Acts 2:37 New King James Version (NKJV)

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

Acts 2:38 New King James Version (NKJV)

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Our curiosity about the abode of the dead is not completely satisfied by biblical terms or verses. What we do know is that either eternal torment in hell or eternal joy in heaven awaits all people after death, based on whether they trust in Christ’s payment for sin or reject Christ.

God made us all a free agent.  While He would like for us to choose a life in Him we can choose not to.  During our life here on earth we can do what ever we choose to do, but we will reap what we sew.
