I remember you Mother,

when you were called away

I remember watching all the years,

as your hair turned gray

I thin of all the times,

you set me on your knee

Of all the children

s stories and songs

that you taught to me

No matter how busy you were,

we would take time to talk.

When the weather was pleasant,

we'd always take a walk.

It is always these times together

that live in my memory.

They may seem small to others,

but priceless to me.

Everyday when I pray to our God above,

I thank him for giving me a mother,

with so much love.

A mother who had old shoes to wear

upon her feet.

And made sure I had good ones,

so I could look neat.

You didn't want others looking

down on me at school

Making remarks or gestures

and treating me so cruel.

You protected me from this worldly strife.

I can not begin to thank you

for how you improved my life.

So I will remember the things

you taught me and this I'll say,

I will try to live as you did, every passing day.

Always be kind to others, and trusting in God above

And sharing the most precious thing

you gave me, LOVE!
