Oklahoma City, I remember that sad day,

When evil came among us and took

our loved ones away.

It was not the things done wrong,

or the things done right

That was the cause of such a terrible sight.

It was hate not love, that was the driving force,

That set evil on this terrible course.

It killed and injured innocent people don't you see,

Weather it was workers in the office

or children in the nursery.

They climed it wasn't caused by people

in a foreign land,

That a bomb was set, by just one man.

Not a few men could have arranged this it is plain,

But this is what was the government's claim.

They wanted it handled quickly and forgot,

Not thining about your terrible lot.

Not thinking about the loved ones lost or tears shed,

Each night as you and family members go to bed.

Even after all these years have past,

We wonder how long the pain will last.

As a fellow American I can never repay,

For all the loved ones taken away.

But this I can share with you,

I still shed tears for your loss too.

Hate destroys, love builds a better world.
