Did I know Earl Roberts?
He was one of my best friends.
If we ever needed each other
We were there till the end.
We worked on a mental ward
And if trouble had begun I could always count on Earl
To never quit and run.
We never injured a patient
But if one would attack,
We always knew each one of us
Would cover the others back.
Earl always respected others,
Never heard him call them names.
He was a quiet man never loud or profane.
He always loved his home life
And his tranquility.
He always talked about his quiet times
Spent with his beloved wife Nancy.
He always said good things about her
He knew she was his life.
You seldom see a man
Had so much pride and love for his wife.
Earl has departed to where all good people go,
But will always be missed and remembered
By the ones who loved him so.

For My Friend Earl
