We stand on this Field of Honor today

Paying homage to our loved ones

that are taken away.

They answered the cal to duty.

not thinking of the cost.

We the ones who love them

we always feel the loss.

We built these memories together

that our mind does hold

The respect and love that frew

can never grow cold.

They were so important to our lives,

gave us so much pleasure.

What you gave to us, there is no way to measure.

We watched you as children,

enjoying life at its best.

Not knowing how tough it could become

when put to the test.

You took all life as it came and did not shy away.

To cut and run from it was not your way.

This evil war caught up with you

and made you leave.

Just to get some comfort, this we must believe.

That death can destroy a body,

but the spirit is to strong to leave.

For in our quite moments, when we think of you.

We feel you with us then we know it's true.

Sometimes when we feel low,

we can almost feel your hand

And hear your gentle voice say,

"I'm alright.  I'm waiting for you In a better land."
